I am currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Sociology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I obtained a Master’s degree in Statistics in 2012. My research and teaching interests include entrepreneurship, strategy, formal organizations, social inequality, employment and the labor force, and quantitative methods. I am a 2012 Kauffman Dissertation Fellow and 2013 Royster Society Fellow. In 2013, I won Howard W. Odum Award for Excellence, which is given yearly to the most outstanding graduate student in the Department of Sociology at UNC.
